Our Organisation

Our Objectives

1. To provide information to the Residents and Ratepayers of Mount Gambier and District in relation to issues which affect their community.

2. To provide community-based advocacy to Councils in relation to issues and concerns they feel are important to their communities.

3. To advocate and ensure open and transparent communication from Councils to ensure Residents and Ratepayers are fully informed by their Council's decisions/actions.

4. To monitor Council Governance as it affects Residents and Ratepayers of Mount Gambier and Districts.

5. To represent, on behalf of the communities, issues that are raised a community concern to any relevant body.

Some of the key highlights of what we have achieved within our first 12 months of operation

  • Moved from Startup mode to Growth mode

  • Established Sub-committees on key issues of concern from our community

  • Hit a major milestone of over 128, 000 reach within a 28-day period on our Facebook page

  • Built relationships with SME’s who can provide us with guidance and support

  • Met with relevant key stakeholders within local, state, and federal government

  • Commenced the creation of internal policy documents to ensure our governance protocols are in place
